What the check involves

The screening is simple and painless, takes only a few minutes, and nothing touches your eye. It measures the carotenoids, the protective pigments at the back of your eye, so you leave knowing where your eye health stands and what you can do to support it.

Why it matters

Age-related macular degeneration (ArMD) is a common eye condition that gradually affects central vision, the vision you use for reading and recognising faces. Carotenoids help protect against the light and oxidative stress involved. Early awareness gives you more time to act. There's more detail, including trusted NHS links, on our eye health page.

The clinic runs across just two mornings, so register early to be sure of a place: register your interest here and we'll be in touch.
