What the check involves
The screening is simple and painless, takes only a few minutes, and involves no needles and no drops. A light on your fingertip measures the carotenoids in your skin, the same protective pigments that support the back of your eye. Nothing touches your eye and there is no finger prick, so you leave knowing where your levels stand and what you can do to support them.
Why it matters
Age-related macular degeneration (ArMD) is a common eye condition that gradually affects central vision, the vision you use for reading and recognising faces.
