One-off setup

Nominate us once, then every repeat comes to us

Nomination is the NHS Electronic Prescription Service setting that tells your GP where to send your prescriptions. It takes two minutes, changes nothing about your GP, and you can switch back any time.

You order repeats directly from your GP surgery: through the NHS App, your surgery's online system (such as SystmOnline or Patient Access), or by handing in the paper repeat slip. Your GP then approves the prescription and sends it out electronically.

No. Like most pharmacies, we don't order repeat prescriptions on patients' behalf, that request needs to come from you to your GP surgery. It keeps your medication record accurate and means nothing is ordered that you don't need. Once your GP has issued the prescription, we take care of everything from there.

If Wellsway is your nominated pharmacy, your GP's prescriptions come straight to us electronically through the NHS Electronic Prescription Service, with no paper slip to drop off. Nominating us takes about two minutes and doesn't change anything about your GP.

Allow two to three working days between ordering from your GP and the prescription being ready, most of that is the surgery's approval time. Once it reaches us, we usually have it dispensed the same day, though some items need ordering in.

Yes, we offer free prescription delivery to Bear Flat and the surrounding area, including Combe Down, Odd Down, and most of south Bath. Call us to arrange regular deliveries or a one-off drop-off.
